What Does Hospitality Mean To You?

picture of coffee being poured

As a community committed to being a place of Holy Welcome we believe getting to know one another is sacred work and we do this each Sunday morning at Coffee Hour. In order to continue this sacred work we need volunteers to host Coffee Hour following the 10:00 am service. Making coffee and providing a few treats (optional) is all that is required. Mentors are available to assist! Sign up sheet available in Communication Center in Millett Hall or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. It is 1975, a perfect spring in Istanbul. Kemal and Sibel, children of two prominent families, are about to become engaged. But when Kemal encounters Füsun, a beautiful shopgirl and a distant relation, he becomes enthralled. And once they violate the code of virginity, a rift begins to open between Kemal and the world of the Westernized Istanbul bourgeoisie. In his pursuit of Füsun over the next eight years, Kemal becomes a compulsive collector of objects that chronicle his lovelorn progress—amassing a museum that is both a map of a society and of his heart.

Interested in Improving Muslim/Non-Muslim Relationships?

In February 2016, several members of Trinity attended an event arranged by DuPage United which allowed Muslims and non-Muslims to interact with each other one-on-one. It was a powerful experience for all of us. Because of the success of that event (over 800 people attended), there are plans to have more such events in the future.
