Documentary & Dinner Club — Inaugural Gathering

Celebrating VE Day | Friday, May 8 | 5:00 PM

Join us for the launch of a new Documentary & Dinner Club! Our first evening together will commemorate the 81st anniversary of Victory in Europe Day with a potluck dinner and a screening of the award-winning documentary The Girl Who Wore Freedom, directed by Trinity member, Christian Taylor.

“Discover the untold stories of D-Day from the men, women, and children who lived through German occupation and Allied liberation of Normandy, France. Powerful and deeply personal, THE GIRL WHO WORE FREEDOM tells the stories of an America that lived its values, instilling a pride in country that is in danger of becoming a relic of the past”

Christian is also the host of the Documentary First podcast, a weekly show about the craft and business of documentary filmmaking — so expect a rich conversation after the screening! We’ll share a meal together, then settle into the Taylors’ living room to watch the film. Come ready for good food, a powerful film, and great conversation.

This is also a chance to explore whether there’s interest in making this an ongoing gathering — so bring your appetite and your opinions!
