Lenten Photo Project: Be Still and Know that I Am God

This years’ photo meditation project is going to be a bit different from the past displays.  Lent is a time for thoughtfulness and reflection, so for this Lent, the photographs are to be based on a line from the Bible or a hymn.  Think of the windows in our church:  each window is based on a passage from the Bible –  The Good Samaritan, The Good Shepherd.

Do you have a line from Scripture that speaks to you? “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”  Is there a hymn that you especially enjoy singing because its message is comforting or inspiring?  “Morning has broken like the first morning…”

Do you have a prayer that is part of your daily life?  Please forward the photograph and the quote to Beth Petti – bcpetti@astound.net, and the photos will be displayed in Millett Hall for everyone to view.

A list of passages and first lines that can be used as prompts are posted below –
